In the Name of God, Amen
I, Bernard Dugan of Shabbona in the County of DeKalb and State of Illinois being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty if this frail and transitory life, do therefore make, ordain. Publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament.
First –  I order and direct that my Executrix hereinafter name, pay all my just debts and funeral expenses as soon after my decease as conveniently may be.
Second – After payment of such funeral expenses and debts, I give, devise and bequeath the use of all my estate both real and personal of whatever name and nature whatsoever to my wife Mary Dugan for her sole use and benefit so long as she shall live, and after her death I give, devise and bequeath all my estate both real and personal of whatever name and nature whatsoever to my eleven children, viz, to my Daughters, Nora Ryan, Mary Sherridan, Maggie Hickey, Kate Duffy, Ellen Cox, Josie Dugan, Grace Dugan and Frank Dugan and to my Sons John Dugan, Bernard Dugan and Charles Dugan to be sold and divided between my said eleven children share and share alike if they shall all be living, and if any of them should die before coming into possession of their bequests, then their portion shall be given to that childs surviving child or children if any there be, but if there be no surviving child or children then that childs portion shall be divided between the remaining surviving brothers and sisters of said child.  These bequests are upon the condition also that when my youngest son wishes to start in business he shall have grain for seeding and 3 head of cows.
Lastly I make, constitute and appoint Mary Dugan, my wife to be the executrix of this, my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills made by me made.
In Witness Whereof, I have hereto subscribed my name and affixed my seal, the Third day of January in the year of our Lord One Thousand  Nine Hundred Two

CODICIL TO WILL
I, Bernard Dugan of Shabbona in the County of DeKalb and State of Illinois being of sound mind and memory, and having heretofore made my last Will and Testament dated the Third day of January,  A.D. 1902, and desiring to make a certain change in said last Will and Testament, for the purpose of assisting my wife, do hereby make, publish and declare the Codicil to my said Will, that is to say:
Beginning with the fifth line above my signature with the word lastly- I make, constitute and appoint Mary Dugan, John Dugan, and Bernard Dugan, Executors of this my last Will and Testament, and without Bond. – Meaning and intending to appoint my sons John Dugan and Bernard Dugan, Executors with their mother Mary Dugan, to carry out my said Will  under the direction of the Court.
Dated the 2nd, day of October, A.D., 1918 at DeKalb, Illinois.
