Pierpont Edwards
In the Matter of the Estate of In LaSalle County County Court.
Pierpont Edwards, deceased. In Probate.
December 22nd, A.D. 1881. Will filed, and duly probated and admitted to record.
Know all Men By These Presents, that I, Pierpont Edwards of the Town of Paw Paw in the County of DeKalb and State of Illinois, being in good health and sound and disposing mind and memory do make and publish this my last Will and Testament.
And as to my worldly estate and all the property, real, personal and mixed of which I shall die seized and possessed or to which I shall be entitled at the time of my decease I devise, bequeath and dispose in the manner following to-wit:-
First: My will is that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall by my executors hereinafter names, be paid out of my estate as soon after my decease as shall by them be found convenient.
Second: I give, devise and bequeath to my son Orin D. Edwards One Hundred Dollars.
Third: I give, devise and bequeath to my son Edward H. Edwards One Hundred Dollars.
Fourth: I give, devise and bequeath to my son William F. Edwards One Hundred Dollars.
Fifth: I give, devise and bequeath to my Beloved wife Myranda M. Edwards all the rest and residue of my estate, real, personal and mixed of which I shall die seized and possessed or to which I shall be entitled at my decease.
And lastly, I so nominate and appoint my said sons, Orin D. Edwards and Edwin H. Edwards to be the Executors of this my last will and testament.
In Witness Whereof I the said Pierpont Edwards, have to this my last Will and Testament subscribed my name and affixed my seal this twenty second of February, eighteen hundred and sixty four.

Pierpont Edwards died on August 24, 1881.
Edwin H. Edwards refused to act as Executor – Orin D. Edwards continued to act as Executor until
February 18th, 1884 – Final Report Filed and approved.
