Minerva V. Herrick
July 13th, 1923. Will filed which is as follows:
WILL
I, Minerva V. Herrick of the Village of Waterman, County of DeKalb and State of Illinois, being of lawful age and of sound mind and memory, do hereby make, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament, in manner following, that is to say, –
First,- I direct that all my just indebtedness and funeral expenses be fully paid.
Second, – I give, devise and bequeath to my daughter, Minerva J. Hutchinson, my homestead in the Village of Waterman, DeKalb County, Illinois, described as follows:—
Lot Eleven (11) in Block Seven (7) of the Original Village of Waterman as per recorded plat thereof; And also give and bequeath to my said daughter, Minerva Hutchinson Lot Four (4) in Blck Eleven in Whitfield (now Leland) in the County of LaSalle and State of Illinois.
Third,- I give and bequeath to each of my grandchildren hereinafter named the sum of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) as follows:–
Minerva A. Hutchinson, One Hundred Dollars ($100.00)
George A. Hutchinson , One Hundred Dollars ($100.00)
Albert A. Herrick, One Hundred Dollars ($100.00)
George J. Herrick, One Hundred Dollars ($100.00)
Norman G. Herrick, One Hundred Dollars ($100.00)
Howard R. Herrick, One Hundred Dollars ($100.00)
And I also give and bequeath to my great-grand-daughter, Marcellite Hutchinson, daughter of George A. Hutchinson, the sum of Fifty ($50.00) Dollars.
Fourth,_ All the rest, residue and remainder of my property I give, devise and bequeath to my son, Guy Herrick and my daughter, Minerva J. Hutchinson, to be divided equally, share and share alike, it being understood, however, that I have heretofore sold to my son, Guy Herrick, Lots One (1) and Two (2) of the Fractional South Half (1/2) of Fractional Section Eighteen (18) in Township thirty-seven (37) North Range Four (4) East of the 3rd P. M., containing One Hundred Forty-four and 64/100 (144.64) acres of land more or less, situated in the County of DeKalb and State if Illinois and which farm it is my Will and desire that he shall hold absolutely for his own, subject only to the payment to estate of whatever amount may be due upon the agreement for the sale of the same heretofore entered into between myself and the said Guy Herrick.
Lastly, – I hereby nominate and appoint my son, Guy Herrick as sole Executor of this my Last Will and Testament without bond, hereby revoking any and all former wills by me made.
