THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT
Of Charles G. Houghtby of the Village of Shabbona, in the County of DeKalb and State of Illinois made and published the 11th day of April in the year of our Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred Twenty three.
In the Name of God, Amen. I, Charles G. Houghtby of the Village of Shabbona, in the County of DeKalb and State of Illinois of the age of Seventy nine years, and being of sound mind and memory, do hereby make, publish and declare this my LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT in manner following, that is to say:
FIRST- It is my will that all my funeral expenses and all my just debts be fully paid.
SECOND- After payment of my just debts and funeral expenses, I give and bequeath to my wife Etta A. Houghtby all my property, both personal and real estate, to use and to do with as she sees fit and dispose of as she wishes.
LASTLY- I hereby nominate and appoint Etta A. Houghtby to be Executrix of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former will by me made.
IN WITNESS Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 11th day of April, in the year of our Lord One Thousand and Nine Hundred and Twenty Three.
