WILL
I, William Husk of the Village of Shabbona, County of DeKalb and State of Illinois, being of sound mind, memory ad understanding do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following.
1st – I direct my executrix to pay (out of my effects) my funeral expenses and all Just claims against me.
2nd – I give and bequeath to my son John H. Husk, Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) as a final settlement of his share in my estate.
3rd – I give and bequeath to my daughter –in-law, Corena Husk, Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00).
4th – I give and bequeath to my wife Celia Husk, the use and benefits of all the remainder of my estate, both real and personal of whatso_er kind, for and during the remaining period of her life time, That is to say, that after all expenses and taxes have been paid to keep said estate in good order and condition, she shall have the net proceeds from estate as her absolute possession so long as she shall live, with power to sell or dispose of any part thereof, and investing proceeds in something better or more desireable.
This is in lieu of her dower at common law.
5th – At the death of my wife Celia Husk, I direct that all my remaining estate both real and personal, of whatso_er kind shall be given in two equal shares, to my Daughter Nettie Smith, and my son Fred Husk, share and share alike. If they cannot satisfactorially agree on a division, the whole or any part of said estate may be sold and the proceeds divided equally between them.
6th – I hereby appoint my wife Celia Husk Executrix of this my last will and testament.
In witness whersof, I William Husk, the testator have, to this my last will and testament set my hand and seal this ninth day of January 1919.
