Jonathan Hyde

In the Matter of the Estate of Jonathan Hyde, Deceased.

In DeKalb County County Court.  In Probate.  Box No. 57.

May 4th, 1864.  Petition of Eunice F. Hyde for Probate of Will and Letters Testamentary filed, representing that Jonathan Hyde, late of the County of DeKalb and State of Illinois, departed this life at Paw Paw, in said County, on or about the 19th day of April, A. D. 1864, testate; and seized and possessed of Real and Personal Estate, the Person Estate estimated to be worth about $300.00.

Petitioner prays that Letters Testamentary may be granted to her.

Subscribed and sworn to before the County Clerk of DeKalb County, Illinois.

WILL

I, Jonathon Hyde of the Town of Paw Paw in the county of DeKalb and State of Illinois, of the age of seventy-five years being of sound mind and memory do make, publish and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form following, to wit:

First:  That all necessary funeral expenses by paid.

Second:  That all debts contracted by me which I am bound by law to pay be liquidated and paid.

Third:  I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Eunice F. Hyde the use of the residue of all my property, personal or real of whatsoever nature or kind, during her natural lifetime. 

Fourth:  At the decease of my beloved wife, Eunice F. Hyde, I give and bequeath to each of my daughters, Cleora C. Burns, Harriet Burns and Eliza Stevens equal shares of all my real estate that may remain after the payment of all legal debts. 

Fifth: I hereby appoint my wife, Eunice F. Hyde, Administratrix of this, my Last Will and Testament without bonds.

In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 10th day of April, A.D. 1864.

This instrument consisting of but one sheet signed in the presence of the undersigned was declared by the said Testator to be his last will and testament.
