Will

I, George W. Jackson of the Village of Shabbona DeKalb County, Illinois, being of sound mind, memory and understanding do hereby make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament in manner and form following:-

First;- It is my will that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon after my decease as possible, by my executor hereinafter named.

Second:- I give, devise and bequeath to my wife Cornelia E. Jackson, all my property, whether real, personal or mixed and wheresoever situated, for her comfortable maintenance and support, for and during her natural life, and to be in full and in lieu of any and all dower rights and widow’s aware in my estate.

Third:- Subject to the life estate of my said wife Cornelia E. Jackson as aforesaid, I give, devise and bequeath all my property, whether the same be real, personal or mixed and wheresoever situated to my three children, Bert Jackson, Lizzie Lane and Ethel Jackson, equally, share and share alike, to their heirs and assigns forever.

Lastly, I do nominate and appoint Ethel Jackson to be executrix of this my last will and testament.

In witness whereof I, George W. Jackson the testator, have to this my will written on one sheet of paper set my hand and seal this 5th day of November A. D. 1912.

Aug. 15th., 1914.  Petition of Ethel E. Jackson for Probate of Will and Letters Testamentary filed, representing that George W. Jackson died on or about the 9th day of August A. D. 1914, testate and seized of real and personal property.  That said deceased left surviving him Cornelia Jackson, residing at Shabbona, his widow, and the following named persons as his only heirs at law and legatees;  and their respective places of residence so far as known are as follows:  Bert Jackson, Shabbona, Ill.; Lizzie Lane, Shabbona, Ill.: Ethel Jackson, Shabbona, Ill.; Cornelia Jackson (widow), Shabbona, Ill.; Prays that Letters may issue to her.  Subscribed and sworn to before a Notary Public.
