Jan. 7th, 1936.  Will filed and on February 17th, 1936, duly probated and admitted to record.

Last Will and Testament

I, Margaret McCormick, of the City of DeKalb, in the County of DeKalb, and the State of Illinois, being of sound mind and memory, do hereby make, publish and declare this to be my Last Will and Testament in the manner and form following, hereby revoking all former Wills and codicils by me heretofore executed.

First:-  I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid.

Second:-  I give and bequeath to the DeKalb Trust and Savings Bank, as trustee, the sum of Five Thousand Dollars, ($5000.00), the same to be a charge upon real estate in trust for my granddaughter, Helen Ann McCormick, and direct that within six month after my decease said trustee shall pay the sum of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) to my said granddaughter, Helen Ann McCormick, and a like sum of One Thousand Dollars ($1000.00) on the same date annually thereafter, for th3e next four succeeding years, together with all interest accumulations, and in the event of the death of my said granddaughter, Helen Ann McCormick, prior to my death, or prior to the payment to her in full of this give by said trustee then this gift shall be divided equally between the issue of her body, then this gift shall be distributed under the  residuary clause of this Will.

Third:-  I give and bequeath to my granddaughter, Mary I. McCormick, the sum of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00).

Fourth:-  I give and bequeath to my granddaughter, Marcellla McCormick, the sum of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00).

Fifth:-  I give and bequeath to the DeKalb Trust and Savings Bank, as trustee, the sum of Six Thousand Dollars ($6,000.00), the same to be a charge upon my real estate,  said gift being given in trust for the following purposes:  I direct that said Trustee shall invest said sum of Six Thousand Dollars ($6000.00) in either United States government bonds, or first mortgage farm real estate notes, or both, loaning not to exceed Fifty Dollars ($50.00) an acre upon any such farm real estate, and from the proceeds derived from the income, or so much of the principal of said trust fund as may be necessary, to pay to my son, Frank McCormick, the sum of Thirty Dollars ($30.00) per month on the first day of each month, commencing three month after my decease, for and during the natural life time of my said son, Frank McCormick.  I also direct my said Trustee to expend a sum not to exceed Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) out of the principal of said trust fund, or the earnings thereof, for the burial of Mary McCormick, wife of said Frank McCormick, upon her death, and if should survive said Frank McCormick then I direct that my Trustee reserve for the burial of said Mary McCormick said sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00).  Upon the death of my said son, Frank McCormick, I direct that said Trustee shall distribute equally among my living heirs, the portion remaining of said principal trust fund, together with its earnings, after the payments herein directed to be made to my said son Frank McCormick, and  the sum directed to be used for the burial of said Mary McCormick, wife of my son, Frank McCormick.

Sixth:-  All the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, real, personal and mixed, wheresoever situated, whether owned by me now, or acquired by me hereafter, I give, devise and bequeath to my children, Margaret A. McCormick, William J. McCormick and Edward J. McCormick, share and share alike, or to the survivors, or survivor, of them.

Seventh:-  I hereby nominate and appoint my son, William J. McCormick, and my daughter, Margaret A. McCormick, Executors of this, my Last Will and Testament, and direct that they be not required to give security for the performance of their duties as such Executors.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my had and seal this 26th day of April A. D. 1934.

The above instrument was on the day of the date thereof declared and acknowledged to us by Margaret McCormick, the Testatrix therein mentioned, to be her Last Will and Testament, and we were resent and saw the said Margaret McCormick sign and seal the same, and we, at her request, and in her actual presence, and in the presence of each other, do sign our names as attesting witnesses to said Will, and we verily believe the said Margaret McCormick to be of sound mind and memory.

Jan. 7th, 1936.  Petition of Margaret A. McCormick for Probate of Will and Letters Testamentary filed, representing that Margaret McCormick, who was at the time of her death a resident of the County of DeKalb, State of Illinois, departed this life at DeKalb, in said County and State, on or about November 9th, 1935, testate, and seized and possessed of real estate valued at about Twenty Thousand Dollars and of personal  property estimated to worth about Sixty-one Hundred Dollars.   …
