March 28th, 1892, Will filed, and on March 31st, 1892, duly probated and admitted to record.
WILL
In The Name of God Amen.
I, Isaac L. Olmstead of the Town of Shabbona, in the County of DeKalb and State of Illinois of the age of sixty five years and of sound mind and memory do make publish and declare this my last will and testament in manner following, that is to say:
First: I give and bequeath to my wife, Marietta Olmstead all of my real estate, to-wit: The East Half of the North West Quarter of Section No. thirty six (36) Also Lot Nine (9) on South West Quarter of Section No. twenty five Also Lot twenty five (25) on the South West Quarter of Section No. twenty five Also south two acres of Lot Seven (7) on the South West Quarter of Section No. twenty five (25) Also Lot fifty two (52) on the North West Quarter of Section No. twenty six (26) all in Township No. Thirty eight North, Range three East of the 3rd P.M., to be accepted and received by her in lieu of dower during her natural life and then to go to my three children Mary Ellen Olmstead, Lewis Minard Olmstead and Fredrick John Olmstead, share and share alike.
Second: I give and bequeath to my son, Harmon C. Olmstead three hundred and forty five dollars in money.
Third: I give and bequeath to my wife, Marietta Olmstead to educate my three children Mary Ellen, Lewis Minard and Fredrick John Olmstead, all my personal property of whatsoever kind and I do hereby appoint my wife Marietta Olmstead, sole executrix of my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former will by me made.
In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 4th day of January, in the year of our Lord One Thousand and Eight Hundred Sixty Eight.

Isaac L. Olmstead died on March 16, A. D. 1892.
Said Deceased left surviving said Marietta Olmstead, as his widow, and his children Aaron Olmstead, Harmon Olmstead, Mary E. Olmstead Goodrich, Lewis Olmstead, his children and Winnifred Olmstead, daughter of Fredrick Olmstead, a deceased son, and probably children of Silas Olmstead and Betsey Olmstead, a deceased son and deceased daughter, but their names are unknown.
All of said parcels of land are continuous and constitute one improved farm of 132 acres, occupied as a homestead by deceased at the time of his death.
May 21st, 1894, Final Report Filed and approved
Lewis M. Olmstead appointed guardian of minor Winnifred M Olmstead, ten years of age in the 30th day of May, 1900.
June 26th, 1908, Guardian’s final report. Said ward, Winnifred M. Olmstead reached age of eighteen years on May 30th, 1908.
