In the Matter of the Estate of

Adam Palm, deceased. . —-

May 25th., 1910.   Will filed, and on July 10th., 1910 admitted to probate and ordered recorded.

WILL

I, Adam Palm of Shabbona in the County of DeKalb and State of Illinois being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life, do therefore make, ordain, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament.

First –  I order and direct that my Executrix hereinafter named, pay all my just debts and funeral expenses as soon after my decease as conveniently may be.

Second –  After the payment of such funeral expenses and just debts, I give, devise and bequeath to my wife, Elmina Palm, my house and lot, situated in Block number 5 and being Lot number 5 in said Block No 5also in the Village of Shabbona, County of DeKalb and State of Illinois, as shown on the Original Plat thereof.  Also all my personal property of what ever name and nature it may be, of which I shall be seized at the time of my decease.  I give, devise and bequeath to my said wife Elmina for her own sole use and benefit, and also I give, devise and bequeath to my said wife Elmina, the use of all my real estate, described as follows, the northwest ¼ of the N.E. ¼ of Sec. 22 and the northwest ¼ of the southeast ¼ of said Section 22 and the west 01 acres of the east1/2 of the southwest ¼ of Section 14, all being in Township No. 38N.R. 3 East of the 3d. P.M.  to be used by my said wife Elmina, for her sole use and benefit during the term of her natural life, said bequests to be received by my said wife, Elmina, and accepted by her in lieu of any widow’s dower, or widow’s award from my said property.

After the decease of my said wife Elmina, said 61 acres described above shall be divided between my four grandchildren.  Giles Stevens, Miles Stevens, and Avis Stevens and Lois Stevens, to be divided between them equally, share and share alike, and the 80 acres above described as being on Section 22, Twp.38R. 3 in DeKalb County, Illinois, after the decease of my said wife Elmina, I give, devise and bequeath to my daughter Etta Palm Stevens.

Lastly – I make constitute and appoint Etta Palm Stevens, without bonds, to be Executrix of this, my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made.

In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal, the 23d day of March in the year of our Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred Ten.
