July 5th, 1905.  Will and Codicil filed and on August 8th, 1905, duly probated and admitted to record.

Will

I, Mary C. Quilhot of the Village of Shabbona in the county of DeKalb and state of Illinois being of sound mind and memory do hereby make publish and declare this my last will and testament in the manner following to wit that is to say

 

I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Jennie May Westervelt the Southeast one quarter of Northwest one quarter and Northeast one quarter of Southwest one quarter  and West one half of west one half lot No. two Northeast one quarter pf Section no. Four Township Thirty seven North Range Three East of the 3d P.M. in the County of DeKalb and State of Illinois also Lots One and Two on Block Four in the Village of Shabbona in the county of DeKalb and State of Illinois also all of my household goods and furniture and to my daughter Caroline P. Quilhot Lot Four on Block Four in aforesaid village of Shabbona also Two Hundred dollars in money and to my son Lewis Milton Quilhot the Southwest one quarter of Northeast one quarter and the Northwest one quarter and the Northwest one quarter of Southeast one quart3er of Section Four Township Thirty-seven North Range three East of the Third P.M. in the County of DeKalb and State of Illinois and after my funeral expenses are paid and the expense of my last illness are paid the remainder of my estate to be divided among my aforesaid children Jennie May Westervelt, Caroline P. Quilhot, and Lewis Milton Quilhot equally share and share alike and I would name Lewis Milton Quilhot as my executor of this my last will and testament.

 

In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this Seventh day of December A.D. 1901.

CODICIL

Whereas I Mary C. Quilhot, did, on the Seventh day of December A. D. 1901 make my last will and testament I do now by this writing add this codicil to my said will to be taken as a part thereof.  I give devise and bequeath to my grandson Howard Quilhot Westervelt the sum of Six Hundred dollars and to my grand-daughter Dorothy McEwen Westervelt the sum of Three Hundred dollars, and to my daughter Jennie May Westervelt Lots numbered Eleven, Twelve, Thirteen and Fourteen in block number Three in corporate Village of Shabbona County of DeKalb and State of Ill.

 

In witness whereof I hereunto place my hand and seal this Eighteenth day of May A.D. 1905.
