September 21st, 1903, Will duly probated and admitted to record.
WILL
I, S.E. Shepardson of the City of Aurora, County of Kane and State of Illinois do hereby make and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner as follows.
First All my just debts and expenses to be paid.
Second To my son Jared C. Shepardson of the Town of Pleasant Grove, Floyd Co. Iowa, I give all of the moneys and debts of whatever kind or nature now owing by him to me. Also the use if the The South East quarter of Section Ten Township Ninety Four Range Sixteen West of the 5th P.M. during his natural life and further direct that said land shall go to any children that may be born to him that may survive him and failing of issue or survival of such living children then said land shall revert to my Wife or my other heirs at law should she not survive me having advanced large sums of money to my son Jared C. I deem this to be his just proportion of my property.
Third I give and bequeath to my wife Lucy M. Shepardson the remainder and residue of my property of every description both real and personal for her own exclusive use and benefit and I request that no bonds be required of my wife should she act as executor of this my last will and testament.
