August 8th, 1892.  Will filed, duly probated and admitted to record.

Will

I, Lucy G. Stevens of the Village of Shabbona in the County of DeKalb and state of Illinois being of sound mind and memory do hereby make publish and declare this my last will and testament in the manner following:

I give devise and bequeath to Mrs. Louisa M. Conde Three Thousand Dollars, also as much of my furniture and household goods as she may select.

I give devise and bequeath to my sister Adeline Barber One Thousand Dollars.

I give devise and bequeath to my niece Cordelia Grandall my gold watch and chain.

I give devise and bequeath of the remainder of my estate if there be that amount, Twelve Thousand dollars, to be divided equally, Three Thousand Dollars to each, between my sisters Fanny Elizabeth Farr and Sarah Emaline O’Harra my brother Charles Henry Newcome and my niece Cornelia Crandall.  If there is not Twelve Thousand Dollars remaining after my other bequests and all just demands against my estate are paid then whatever may remain to be divide among the aforesaid Fanny Elizabeth Farr, Sarah Emaline O’Harra, Charles Henry Newcome and Cornelia Crandall share and share alike.  Should there be more than the above mentioned Twelve Thousand Collars, I give devise and bequeath whatever may remain of my estate to my sister Adeline Barber.

I hereby direct and empower my executor to sell my real estate and personal property at auction or private sale as it may in his judgment seem most advantageous.

In making this last will and testament I have not forgotten my nephew William Servall.

I hereby appoint J.W. Middleton executor of this my last will and testament.
