I, George Ullman of Shabbona Grove, Illinois, being of sound mind do make the following my last Will and Testament.

To my son William Ullman, I give and bequeath my eight acres land in Pocahontas Co., Iowa, provided the said William Ullman shall pay to my daughter, Julia Ullman Johnson, the sum of Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00).

To my daughter, Julia Ullman Johnson, I give and bequeath my house and lots in Shabbona Grove, DeKalb Co., Illinois, together with all household furniture and belongings thereto,

I hereby make and appoint Henry Husk of Shabbona, Illinois, administrator & executor of my estate & Will.

This my last Will& Testament made and signed at Shabbona, Illinois, this 21st day of June 1897

I, A. S. Kinsloe, Clerk of the County Court, in and for the County and State aforesaid, do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument of writing, purporting to be the last will and testament of George Ullman, was filed in the office of said Clerk on the 20th day of Sept. A. D. 1897, and was by said Court duly probated and admitted to record on the 19th day of October, A.D. 1897, as and for the last will and testament of the said George Ullman, late of said County, deceased, and duly recorded in Book of Wills #3, page 428.

In Witness Whereof, I do hereunto set my hand and affix the seal of said Court, at Sycamore, in said County, this 19th day of October, A.D. 1897.

Sept 20th, 1897.  Petition of Henry Husk for probate of will and Letters Testamentary filed representing the George Ullman, who was at the time of his death a resident of the County of DeKalb, State of Illinois, departed this life at Shabbona, in said DeKalb County, State of Illinois, on or about the 12th day of September A. D. 1897, testate, and seized and possessed of Real Estate, valued at about Twenty two Hundred (2200) Dollars,  and of Personal Property estimated to be worth about Five Dollars.

Petition further represents that said deceased left surviving  him no widow, and the following named persons as his only heirs at law and legatees; and their respective places of residence so far as known are as follows:-

        Julia Ullman Johnson, Shabbona, Illinois; and

        William Ullman, Fonda, Iowa.

        Petitioner prays that Letters Testamentary may be granted to him.

Subscribed and sworn to before the County Clerk of DeKalb County, Illinois.
