March 11th, 1895. Will filed and duly probated and admitted to record.
WILL
I, Henry A. Van Riper of Paw Paw, DeKalb County, Illinois do make this my last will and testament. My son Silas C. Van Riper having had a portion of my money, besides which I give and bequeath all the undivided Clothing taken to Kansas with him also two hundred dollars in money or notes as is convenient. Also to my daughter Lottie Van Riper I give and bequeath three thousand dollars in money or notes as is convenient. And the piano and organ bureau and bedstead and other things in her room and one Colt called Prince. The balance of my property Real estate and personal, mortgages, Notes and accounts I give and bequeath to my wife Charlotte M. Van Riper for her use and benefit she can distribute to the children as she may see they need it. If any remains undivided at her death it shall be divided as follows; to my son Silas Van Riper one third and to my daughter Lottie Van Riper the balance or two thirds and if desirable to my wife, I desire that she shall be the executrix, thereof in witness whereof I have set my hand and seal.
