In the Name of God, Amen

I, Robert Harper of the Town of Paw Paw, in the County of De Kalb and State of Illinois, of the age of 68 years, and being of sound mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this my last Will and Testament, in the manner following, that is to say:

First:  I give and bequeath to my wife Ann. B. Harper, full and complete control of all my real and personal property with power to mortgage the same to raise money to pay present indebtedness, or liens now on said estate.  My said wife to pay all bequests and to be accepted by her in lieu of dower.

Second:  I give and bequeath to my son James Harper, 2nd. $500.00 and the West 5 acres of the S.E. ¼ of the S. W. ¼ of Section 15, Township 37 North, Range 3, East of the Third P.M. all in DeKalb County, Illinois.

Third:  To my Daughter Anna Mary Harper I give and bequeath $500.00.  The last two money bequests to be paid at the convenience of my wife Ann B. Harper.

Fourth:  I give and bequeath to my sons Malcolm C. Harper and Robert Harper all of the real and personal estate at the death of my wife Ann B. Harper to be divided in such proportions as my said wife shall decide to be right between them.  I do hereby appoint my son James Harper 2nd, sole Executor of this my last Will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made.

In witness whereof I do hereunto set my hand and seal this 2nd day of March, 1882.
