LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT
I, Ole Gerhard Olsen, being a resident of the City of Shabbona, in DeKalb County, State of Illinois, and being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do hereby make, execute, declare and publish this to be my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking any and all wills or codicils in connection with the administration of my estate be first paid and that my property be disposed of in the following manner, to-wit: –
FIRST
I hereby give, devise and bequeath, one-half of all of my property, real as well as personal property , and wherever situated or located upon my death, to my beloved foster-daughter, Dorothy Anderson, to have and to hold absolutely and forever and dispose of as she may see fit.
SECOND
I hereby give, devise, and bequeath all of the rest, residue and remainder of my Estate, consisting of real as well as personal property, and wherever situated or located upon my death to the following named persons, in equal shares, to-wit: my brother, Thomas Thompsen; the three children of my foster son, Randolph Olsen, namely, Betty Ann Olsen, Thelma June Olsen, and Olaf Eugene Olsen; The three children of my niece, Sena Lemon, namely, Marjorie Lemon, Ruth Lemon, and Olive Lemon; my deceased wife’s niece, Thora Johanson, and my deceased wife’s niece, Theoline Olsen, To have and to hold absolutely forever and dispose as they may see fit. It being my intention that the following named persons, To-wit:-, Thomas Thompsen, Betty Ann Olsen, Thelma June Olsen, and Olaf Eugene Olsen, Marjorie Lemon, Ruth Lemon, Olive Lemon, Thora Johanson, and Theoline Olsen each receive or be entitled to 1/18 interest in my Estate.
THIRD
I hereby nominate and appoint my foster-daughter, Dorothy Anderson, as Executor of this my Last Will and Testament and direct that she be permitted to so act without filing bonds and I hereby give and grant unto my said Executrix full power and authority to sell, transfer, and convey any and all real estate or personal property owned by me at the time of my death and execute instruments of conveyance to purchaser or purchasers thereof, the same as I might do if living, without obtaining orders of Court therefore in order that my Estate might be liquidated as expediently as possible without sacrificing the same, with the express understanding that she is to be the sole judge of the advisability and expediency of the disposition of my property. She is further given full power and authority to lease any and all of my real estate until such time as in her opinion it is advisable to sell the same and collect the rents and profits therefrom. She is also hereby authorized to mortgage such real estate and personal property in order that my Estate may be preserved, liquidated and distributed as provided by this Will.
I hereby nominate and appoint my foster-daughter, Dorothy Anderson, as Trustee of all the property in my Estate which is hereby bequeathed or devised to minor children after such property has been converted into cash, and direct that she be permitted to act in such capacity without filing bonds and I hereby direct that such Trustee retain and hold the cash so devised or bequeathed to minors, and invest same in sound securities, until such minors shall have obtained the age of twenty-one years,

Real Estate to-wit: -Commencing at the North West corner of the South West Quarter (SW1/4) Section Fifteen (15), Township Thirty-eight (38) North, Range Three (3), East of the Third (3rd) Principal Meridian, running South one Hundred Four and One-Half (104 1/2) feet, thence East Eighty (80) rods, thence North one Hundred and Nineteen (119) feet to line of Rail
Road land, thence Westerly on the said line to the place of beginning, all being situated in the County of De Kalb, in the State of Illinois.
