In the name of God Amen.
I, Thomas Wright of the Township of Willow Creek in the County of Lee and State of and Illinois being of sound mind and disposing memory and being in full possession of all my faculties do now, freely and voluntarily and with a full and perfect knowledge of what I am about to do, make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in the following that is to say: On the contingency that my wife Mary Wright survive me I give and devise and bequeath to her all my property real and personal of whatsoever kind and wheresoever found to have and to hold the same during the period of her natural life, said real estate consists of the following described lands to-wit:- “The North East quarter (1/4) and the South one half (1/2) of the North East quarter (1/4) all of Section No eighteen (18) of Township No. Thirty-eight (38) North, of Range No. three (3) East of the Third (3rd) P. M., Illinois containing one hundred and twenty (120) acres according to Government survey.
And after the death of my said wife Mary Wright to my heirs to-wit: George Wright, Ann Cutts, Robert M. Wright and Juliana Spaulding, I give, devise, and bequeath the whole of my said property real and personal, and share alike in fee simple and each likewise to take of my personal property share and share alike.
On the contingency that I survive my said wife Mary Wright, to my heirs, to-wit: George Wright, Ann Cutts, Robert M. Wright and Juliana Spaulding, I give bequeath and devise the whole of my said property real and person, each of my said heirs to take of said real estate share and share alike in fee simple and each likewise to take of my personal property share and share alike
And I herein and hereby appoint as my sole executor of this my last Will and Testament my son the said Robert M. Wright.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my had and affixed my seal on this 11th day of June A. D. one thousand eight hundred and seventy eight (1878).

Nov 21st, 1882. Refusal of Mary Wright to act as Executor filed, requesting the appointment of George Wright to act in her place.
Nov. 21st, 1882. Petition of George Wright for Letters of Administration with Will annexed, filed representing that Thomas Wright died on or about Sept. 7th, 1882, testate and seized of real and personal property.
That said deceased left him surviving Mary Wright, his widow, George Wright, Ann Cutts, Robert M. Wright, and Juliana Spaulding, all adults, his children as heirs.
Prays that Letters may issue to him, etc. Subscribed and sworn to before the Clerk of County Court.

Sept. 27th., 1887. Affadavit of George Wright filed representing that Mary Wright who under the Will of the said Thomas Wright had a life estate in the realty in said Will devised, is now dead, having departed this life on the 10th day of February, 1887
