The Museum will host an event for community members to celebrate the Sloopers’ 200th anniversary tours to Norway and New York. The Sloopers Society of America marks the historic event when the first organized group of people from Norway immigrated to the U.S.
The free event will begin at 1 p.m., August 16 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 19 Perry Road, Lee. The event features speaker Barb Benson Johnson. Raffles, including a quilt raffle, will be offered. Refreshments will be served. Donations are welcome.
