August 21st, 1900.   Will filed, and on September 18th, 1900, duly probated and admitted to record.

WILL

IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN

            I, Joe P. Johnson, of Lee, in the county of DeKalb and State of Illinois, being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life, do therefore make, ordain, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament.

            First:  I order and direct that my Executor hereinafter named pay all my just debts and funeral expenses as soon after my decease as conveniently maybe.

            Second:  After the payment of such funeral expenses and debts, I give, devise and bequeath to my son Lewis, all my real estate described as follows:- Lot No. three (3) in Block six (6) and Lot A of Hinckley and Boyles addition in the Village of Lee, County of DeKalb and State of Illinois with this provision: that my wife Kristi is to have the use of all this property as long as she lives.  She is to pay the taxes and keep said property in good repair as long as she occupies it as her home.  I also give to my said wife all the Household Goods, furniture, Beds & Bedding. I give to my daughter Annie thirty dollars, and to my son Peder, Five dollars.  This bequest to my daughter Annie and my son Peder is to be paid to them One year after my demise, if there, is any money on hand.

            Lastly I make, constitute and appoint my son Lewis Johnson and Thomas Nelson to be Executors of this, my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills by me made.
