In the name of God, Amen, I Peter Lalway of the Town of Shabbona in the County of DeKalb and State of Illinois of the age of fifty two years and being of sound mind and memory do make publish and declare this my last will and testament in manner following: First:- I give and bequeath to my wife Mary Lalway one third of the undivided 1/2 of the personal property after all the debts are paid, the other two thirds is to be divided between my two daughters equally, July (Julia) Lalway and Mary J. Lalway. Which said legacies or sums of money I direct and order to be paid to the said respective legatees at such times as my executors think most advisable. Second:- I give and devise to my wife Mary Lalway the use of one third of my real estate so long as she lives and the other two thirds is to be equally divided between my two daughters Julia Lalway (Griffin) and Mary J. Lalway. Said land described as follows; The West 1.2 of the South West 1/4 of section 36 in Township 38 North Range 3 East of the Third P. M. also the East 1/2 of the South East 1/4 of Section 35 in Township 38 North Range 3 East, also the East 1/2 of lot 1 of the North Range 3 East 1/4 of section 2 in Township 37 North Range 3 East of the Third P. M. together with all the hereditaments and appurtenences thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to have and to hold the above premises described to the said heirs in the above.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this day of the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty five.

And lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint Patrick Lalway and Shelburne I. Scott to be the executors of this my last will and testatament hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
I give and devise all my personal estate of what nature of kind soever to Patrick Lalway and Shelburne I. Scott the executors of this my last will and testament hereinbefore nominated and appointed in trust for the payment of my just debts and the legacies above specified with power to sell and dispose of the same at Public sale or private sale at such time or times and upon such terms and in such manner as to them shall seem meet provided however that no part of my real estate as aforesaid shall be sold at Public auction until after the expiration of three years from time of my decease.
